Kilimanjaro 2024 – Lemosho Route

 


The Lemosho Route is a popular, scenic 7-8 day trekking route up Mount Kilimanjaro, known for its higher summit success rates due to better acclimatization and stunning views as it approaches from the west before joining the Machame Route. Starting in a beautiful rainforest, it traverses the Shira Plateau and includes the iconic Barranco Wall climb before connecting to the Southern Circuit for the final push to the summit.

Kilimanjaro the Lemosho Route this trek started in June 2024 this trek was done by Rebecca Murray and Gerry O Brien, with chief Guide Known as Freddy, and Graham Tobin who is the Chairperson of Childaid.ie.
This Route was over 7/8 Days walking coverings a distance of 126Km weather been nice most days until you started to climb Higher up this is where it started to get Very Cold, water starting to freeze in the water bottles, Over all a wonderful experience.
Graham Tobin is on the Board of Director for Childaid.ie His own achievement are reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro over 70 times, Graham has organised Treks all over the World including Mount Everest
